Freya von Moltke is the widow of Helmuth James von Moltke, one of the founders and the head of the Kreisau Circle – one of the most significant civil resistance movements against the Nazi regime. Together with her husband, Freya von Moltke was an active participant in the Kreisau Circle.
Since World War II, Freya von Moltke has worked for the realization of the ideas of the Kreisau Circle and the remembrance of those (including her husband) killed while resisting the Nazi regime.
