The former Kreisau, place of important meetings of the German resistance group "Kreisauer Kreis" (Kreisau Circle), is situated in today’s Poland and is now called Krzyżowa. Thanks to the efforts of an international civic movement, the international youth meeting and memorial site of the New Kreisau was founded in 1990.
Within a few years , Kreisau became a vivid place of international exchange. Through seminars, workshops, exhibitions and meetings, youth and adults discuss topics including the subject of resistance and opposition, Polish-German history and European Integration.
